Some updates for 2025 at Clackamas County Fairgrounds.
In 2025 CCFG has decided to drop their stall prices to $10 a day. The stalls must be completely cleaned out after using them, or the person renting the stall will be charged a $25 cleaning fee and they will not be allowed to rent stalls from CCGA or WHO again. There will be a sign up sheet that will keep track of who is in the stall as a requirement by CCFG, which will also let us know if the rule is not followed. You may use the bedding of your choice. This is a very generous decision by CCFG to drop the prices and make the shows more affordable for our riders. Please follow the rules and keep up the reputation that WHO riders have of being people that clean up after themselves. It is no easy matter to find affordable arenas, and our reputation is one of the reasons we are welcome where some other clubs are not. And at no time can horses be tied in the barn alleyways.
The other news regarding CCFG is that they now have approval and have started to lay the groundwork to build their new building. They have already started some of the preliminary construction and that will affect the parking at the shows as things progress. We will probably eventually be back out in the yellow gate area like we were a few years ago. We will try to keep you updated as things progress to let you know if we have to start entering and parking in the yellow lot. The aforementioned lower stall rent will probably come in quite handy if and when we have to move to that option.
