WHO CONVENTION 2024
We had a good turnout for convention this year in Salem. The board went back to a more formal style after feedback from members wanting it to be more of an event. Thanks goes out to Candy Spahn for producing convention for the past three years. The awards were awesome, and had me wishing I could have made the TOP TEN this year, but as most of you know, Turner decided I needed a six month break. I just wish it wasn’t the kind of break he decided to give me!

For those of us that didn’t get top ten awards, there were awesome plaques or money handed out to them. There were also 30 door prizes that some lucky people got to pick from. Thanks to WILCO and Nick Meuret for the extra donations to the door prizes.
I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to my great board and committee members these past two years. We had three of our committee chairs decide to leave after numerous years of service to WHO.
Terri Weber did show approvals, Yvonne Cook was our newsletter person and Candy Spahn did the last three years of convention. I am sorry to see you all go, but understand the huge amount of time and work you all put in for the members of this fantastic club. You will be missed!
I was glad to hear that Nick Meuret stepped up to do show approvals and convention for next year. He plans on moving the date to earlier in November and bring back a Friday night fun event. We will be looking for a new newsletter person and if you are interested contact Tasha Ballstaedt.

Thanks to Tiffany, Kenra, Bonnie, David and Doran who donated to the bake sale for Queen Emma. She raised $310 for the Interstate Scholarship Fund. It was great to have Emma come down to help hand out awards and represent Interstate.
And a final Thank you to you, the members of WHO that trusted me to lead your club for the past two years. You all made these past two years a great experience by stepping up to help out whenever we needed it.
